One of my favourite parts of our Japan trip. If you can visit I highly recommend it. This is for me, the best work that Hiroshi Sugimoto designed and a masterclass of great architecture. This place invokes an almost magical mood and atmosphere using design, and demonstrates the power of well designed lighting in an experience. We spend an entire day here, and every moment was educational, and enlightening. Highly recommend, even if you are not an architect and just love design like me!

A quick pleasant getaway from Tokyo. I totally recommend it for someone who just wants to escape the city and be immersed in nature and culture or for Hiroshi Sugimoto's fans!!!

The dedication and details are unparalleled. I love the hidden details that are hidden everywhere from the bird sculpture on the tree's branch to the tiles in the toilet. Not only these, I love how the alignments of the windows, the doors, the water, and the sea feel like it awaits some alignments and magic. The poles and crystals make me feel like I could communicate to the universe. The reason of us being here, and where we came from. Such a peaceful place. I recommend you take some bento and a hot drink. Enjoy the picnic there. Such a nice place to go for a date or a day out alone like I did. The photos hanged there were exquisite. I loved it!

Reserve the (rather expensive) tickets to get here. We we were lucky to reserve over the phone just one day before, but it's better to be on the safe side, it was quite full, even though it was a Monday morning reservation. This place is an amazing landscaping exercise and a very relaxing experience seeing the views and the installations integrated into the nature. I liked how much care was taken to avoid using signs and markers for full integration between the exhibits and the nature. Highly recommended. There is a limited number of shuttles from Nebukawa station, plan well. Can be combined with a stay in Hilton Resort nearby.

Getting There: Necessary to make a reservation online. Shuttle bus in front of the station will pick you up and take you there accordingly. Breath-taking and one of the most memorable spots to come to. The sea and sky were worth seeing through until sunset. It's peaceful, calming, and serene. A wonderfully alluring observatory that weaves great architecture and beautiful nature together seamlessly. The Citrus Garden also made for a wonderful walk as well the cafe right by the entrance.

This open-air architectural museum is on the hill facing Sagami Bay. Buildings and exhibit objects are incorporated in the concept of nature and beauty. Relaxation and the idea of zen are intended through observations of the scenery and hiking through the terrains of the bamboo grove and the orange grove. Shuttle bus is booked through the ticket purchase. About 7-minute drive from Nebugawa station. * Not a place for kids and no tickets for kids either. Teamlab would be better appreciated.

One of the coolest places I've ever visited. You need advance reservations but it's worth it. We went on a weekday morning but there were not many other visitors which was nice. It didn't look that big online so we thought an hour would be enough time but it really wasn't. I would recommend going at least 1.5-2 hrs before the session ends so you have enough time.
